Brandenburg Day in Finsterwalde
On both days, the sponsoring universities BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg and TH Wildau will present themselves on the Education Mile and the premises of the Presence Office itself will also invite visitors to linger and gather information on both days.
Stands in the Education Mile (Straße der Jugend):
College BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.
The College offers prospective and current students a variety of study information and qualification programs as well as versatile study orientation offers.
At the booth you can get information and advice about all study programmes of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. With the help of microscopes and VR glasses, you will get a vivid insight into studying.
TH Wildau
Three research projects are exhibited here, which show how diverse the studies and applied research at TH Wildau are:
1. truck of Wildauer Maschinen Werke - via a video, visitors can gain insights into autonomous driving and learn about the cross-curricular research group.
2. FullDrug - by means of a model, those interested can gain access to new approaches in tumor therapy through fullerene complexes.
3. ALADIN (Advanced Low Altitude Data Information System) - is a 5G-based communication system for monitoring at-risk wildfire areas. Here, reconnaissance drones and unmanned firefighting vehicles are used to extinguish contaminated forest areas more quickly in the future.
Stands in the Business and Innovation Mile (Oscar-Kjellberg-Strasse)
At the booth of the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture (MWFK), which funds the Presence Office, three projects that shape our future will be presented:
1. WIR! alliance "Land-Innovation-Lausitz" (LIL): Find out about exciting projects that aim to adapt agriculture in Lusatia to climate change.
2. Center for Hybrid Electric Systems Cottbus (chesco): Chesco is a research center for alternative drive systems for the mobility sector at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.
3. pro_digital: and the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Spreeland present themselves and show excerpts of how small and medium-sized companies can benefit from concrete digitization examples and tailored, provider-neutral support services in the state of Brandenburg and Lusatia.
At the BTU Presence Office (Markt 1, City Hall).
The premises of the Presence Office will be transformed into a café on Brandenburg Day. In return for a small donation for a good cause, you can be treated to coffee, cake and more by the Ladies Lions Club of Finsterwalde-Niederlausitz. The Staff Members of the Presence Office will be happy to inform you about their activities for our region.
