Discover BTU at the Study Info Day in Senftenberg
The BTU opens its doorson the Study Info Day parallel to the Saxon University Information Day. High school graduates from Saxony who would like to take advantage of this school-free day to visit BTU are very welcome, as are prospective students from Brandenburg and other federal states, parents and teachers. The central point of contact is the Konrad Zuse Media Centre (Building 11).
The varied programme with introductory and advisory services includes basic information on studying at all university locations in Cottbus and Senftenberg, including the co-op programmes, as well as guided tours of modern laboratories, taster lectures and information on financing your studies. In addition to participating on site, prospective students have the opportunity to experience exciting lectures online. Registrations for the Study Info Day are not required.
Thecentral point of contact on campus is the Konrad Zuse Media Centre (Building 11), where the event will kick off with a lecture on all of the university's study options, how to apply to university, study abroad and internships from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. in the large lecture theatre. In the foyer of the Media Centre, staff members from the student guidance and counselling service, the co-op programme and other institutions will be available for individual discussions. Under the motto "Lehr(t)räume entdecken: Your guide to the teaching profession", students on the primary school teaching study programme will provide information at their stand and the Institute of Health will present a poster exhibition.
Detailed course presentations in various teaching buildings and in the Konrad Zuse Media Centre will focus on the Bachelor's degree programmes in Biotechnology(participation is also possible online) and Applied Natural Sciences, the co-op programmes in Engineering and Business Administration, the Institute of Health with its health-related study programmes and the degree programme in Primary School Teaching. Under the heading "Studying worldwide", BTU's International Relations Office will be showing ways to study and do internships abroad.
Exciting presentations, for example on thetopic"Genetic engineering - modifying genetic material - presentation of the CRISPR/Cas method"(participation is also possible online) or on biomaterials provide insights into research. Former Therapy Sciences students will give practical presentations on "Physiotherapy after amputations" and "Intelligent prostheses".
In the medical technology workshop, participants of the Study Info Day can experience the creation of an orthosis using a 3D printer.
Laboratory tours through the Skills Lab of the Institute of Health and the laboratories of the Institute of Biotechnology, a tour of the university library and a presentation of the Central University Sports Centre will give an impression of the modern conditions for study and leisure.

The Study Info Day is aimed in particular at anyone who would like to find out more about the possibility of a Bachelor's degree programme, which usually starts in the winter semester 2025/26.
Applications for the summer semester have already started. Applications are primarily possible for Master's degree programmes and the Bachelor's degree programme in Economathematics in the first programme-related semester - for other Bachelor's degree programmes in higher programme-related semesters.
