The Brandenburg-South regional competition of Jugend forscht was held for the first time and with great success on 4 March 2026. Around 40 pupils presented 25 independently developed research projects to a jury from science and schools at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU).

Alumni Training Seminar - Solar Energy Capacity Programme (SECAP) for alumni from Latin America

12 hours of live power from the sternchen.fm studio: for International Women's Day, the BTU radio project is broadcasting a special 12-hour live programme. Under the title "Feminist Radio Day", the free radio station for Cottbus and Lusatia will take over the programme from 12 noon to midnight - with voices, sounds and perspectives from science, activism, culture and the community.

On 24 and 25 February 2026, teachers from secondary schools across Germany that are part of the MINT-EC aerospace technology cluster attended their second cluster meeting at the Cottbus main campus of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU).

Full of energy, Ha Lien Pham and Maral Chavoshi Tehrani represent the BTU students in order to strengthen their voices within EUNICE and intensify international exchange.

Vilnius Gediminas Technical University has awarded Prof. em. Dr.-Ing. habil. Hartmut Pasternak from BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg an honorary doctorate. With this award, the university is honouring an internationally renowned scientist in the field of steel and composite structures and a committed partner of the university.
