In the public lecture series "Forensic Sciences: On the trail of the crime" at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU), Prof. Dr Thomas Fischer, Head of the university's Central Analytics Laboratory, will provide exciting insights into the investigation of fire causes on Friday, 15 November 2024 at 5:30 pm.

The new module area of the public lecture series "Open BTU" deals with social change. Prof. Dr Raj Kollmorgen, Professor of Social Change Management and Vice-Rector for Research at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, will be the speaker at the kick-off event on Wednesday, 13 November 2024 at 5:30 pm at the Cottbus main campus of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.

What are we building on? This is the central question of a new lecture series at the Institute of History of Art and Architecture (IBK) at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus Senftenberg (BTU). The lecture series is aimed at a specialist audience from technical, social science and humanities disciplines and an interested public alike.

The Tagesspiegel editorial team has nominated 100 personalities who have made a particular impact in the Berlin-Brandenburg research region this year. Four scientists affiliated with BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg are among those selected.

Master's students of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) are working together with the city of Cottbus/Chóśebuz and two planning offices to redesign a well-known city centre green space.

The tours take up the theme of the traveling exhibition “70 Years of Art in Architecture in Germany”, which can be seen at the Information, Communication and Media Centre (IKMZ) of the BTU until November 26, 2024. Interested parties are cordially invited. The number of participants is limited to 20 people at a time.

"Art as promise and fulfilment. Themes, tasks and social effectiveness of building-related socialist art in the planned town of Eisenhüttenstadt and in Brandenburg" - the last of three lecture evenings accompanying the travelling exhibition "70 Years of Art in Architecture in Germany" will begin on Tuesday, 12 November 2024, at 6 p.m. at the BTU's Cottbus main campus.

Outstanding students and alumni of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg's (BTU) studies leading to certification in artistic education will be helping to shape the 50th Cottbus Musikherbst. On Tuesday, 12 November 2024, at 7 pm, they will present piano works by Brandenburg composers and international masters of the 20th and 21st centuries.
