Selected researches in the experimental mine

year: 2009
Diploma thesis at the Chair in collaboration with BAUER ltd. Civil Engineering
Objective target:
- Recent evidence from the actual injectivity of the upcoming subsoil
- Optimizing of the injection parameters
Result:
- To enable optimizing of injection works in consideration of profitability and quality
- Estimation of the density before the pumping test possible

year: 2007
Research project of the chair
Intention:
Large-scale tests to determine the soil pressure distribution and deformation behavior of reinforced retaining wall constructions with geotextiles, under static and dynamic exposure.
Objective target:
Determining reference for the consolidation regime during the installation and minimizing of deformation on construction fronts and on the dynamic behavior of the structure.

year: 2003
Client: SF – Cooperation ltd. Bremen
Intention:
Determination of pull-off forces of a geogrid “Polyfelt Rock GX 35/35” consisting of non- mortared, loaded jointing between florwand-bricks.
Conclusion:
The predetermined pull-off forces each meter width of the geogrid were approximately 20% of the vertical line load. The ratio of 1 / 5 was confirmed by the results of the load test on the supporting wall of florwand-bricks.

year: 2002
Research project of the chair: self-financing
Problem:
Which conditions can cause defects in sealing slabs by obstacles in the non-cohesive foundation ground? Are these defects predictable and preventable?
Procedure:
- Simulation of a typical situation of the foundation ground with a large-scale Model test
- Installation and field mapping of obstacles of various types (Carbon, wood, clay layers, erratic, bulkheads, hydraulic pipeline, etc.) in different depth in a medium sand
- Production of HDI-systems with extensive measurement and analysis programs
- Baring of HDI-systems after induration

year: 2000
Client: UNI – International Bausystem GmbH + Co.
Result:
- horizontal "expansion" at the wall level with local overloading
- structural analysis of conventional gravity walls, single bricks on foundation
- Absorption of bending moments according to the concrete quality, lower block layer non-twistable clamped
