BTU with future technologies at E-world energy & water 2025 from 11 to 13 February

The European Energy Economics sector met with international decision-makers, industry experts and trade visitors in Essen from 11 to 13 February 2025 for the largest E-world energy & water to date. BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg was represented for the first time with a stand at the joint stand of the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region and presented the Energy Innovation Centre (EIZ). The EIZ's presence at the trade fair significantly raised its profile. Many contacts were made with companies and interesting discussions were held on current developments, innovations and challenges relating to the energy transition. The last day of the trade fair was characterised by a Career Day. Many prospective students and postdocs enquired at our stand.
We would like to thank all participants, stand visitors and organisers and look forward to E-world 2026!

REVIEW

BTU with future technologies from 05 to 07 March at the Interbattery in Seoul

BTU successfully presented itself for the first time at Interbattery, the international trade fair for batteries, in Seoul. The Chair of Physical Chemistry, in cooperation with the ReLiOS network, presented BTU's expertise in the field of recycling and recovery of battery materials and battery raw materials from lithium-ion batteries at the joint stand of the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region. The stand was visited by Korean and German company representatives, the foreign chamber of commerce, TechnoParks from various regions and the German embassy, among others. The level of awareness was increased enormously by the trade fair appearance and a certain reputation was achieved. We would like to thank all participants, stand visitors and organisers and look forward to Interbattery 2026!

REVIEW

BTU with future technologies at the Hannover Messe 2025 from 31 March to 4 April

The Energy Innovation Centre Cottbus (EIZ) and the BTU were represented for the first time with their own stand at the joint stand of the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region. With more than 4,000 exhibitors and more than 130,000 visitors, the Hannover Messe ended as the world's leading industrial trade fair for energy and innovation.
Together with Prof. Dr Lars Röntzsch, research results, the latest technologies and energy innovations were presented. This year, the stand focussed on hydrogen technology, which was developed in the Energy Storage and Conversion Lab. A state-of-the-art AEM high-pressure water electrolyser stack - an efficient, compact hydrogen evolution technology made in Cottbus - Lusatia - Brandenburg - was presented.
A highlight was the visit of Daniel Keller, Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Climate Protection in Brandenburg. We would like to thank all participants, stand visitors and organisers and look forward to the Hannover Messe 2026!

BTU and chesco with future technologies at Aero 2025 from 9 to 13 April

AERO 2025 impressively demonstrated its position as the leading global trade fair for general and business aviation. 760 exhibitors from 38 nations presented over 300 aircraft to 32,100 visitors. BTU's stand was visited by national and international representatives from a wide range of business circles as well as representatives from other universities, and the opportunities offered by the Institute of Transport Technology and the chesco research centre were in great demand. Prospective students came to the Career Day to find out about our programmes. BTU also took part in the lecture programme organised by BBAA e.V. at the trade fair stand. There was an exchange of ideas and possible co-operations. We would like to thank all participants, stand visitors and organisers.
