9-9:45 a.m.: Online lecture "Purpose - meaning of life" (Techniker Krankenkasse)

Who am I... Why am I here? What is the meaning of life? A question that has preoccupied philosophers, thinkers and dreamers for generations without arriving at clear answers. Through psychological and scientific findings, we would like to take a step closer to our own fulfillment in life. The lecture invites us to consider the meaning of life not as an abstract concept, but as a personal journey. What inner drives and beliefs influence your decisions? How can you align your talents and passions with your personal purpose? Let's find out.

In today's world, we are increasingly exposed to a variety of stresses. The presence or development of protective factors can have a positive influence on a person's resilience and lead to successful stress and crisis management. The results of the test are used to develop helpful measures and strategies that can be used to strengthen resilience in everyday life.

10-10:45 a.m.: Online lecture "Eye relaxation" (Techniker Krankenkasse)

Location: Webex room

Everything in view? Our world has become increasingly digitalized in recent years and we spend many hours a day staring at screens. This puts a lot of strain on our eyes. Constant close-up vision means that our eyes are constantly strained, which can also lead to tension in the neck area
. Headaches are also a common consequence, accompanied by a feeling of dryness in the eyes.
The lecture will provide helpful tips and tricks on how to train and relax the eyes in a simple but effective way. Effective exercises stimulate the flow of tears and fund eye coordination.

Tension can be relieved with the help of neck or back massages. Enjoy a soothing, short break from everyday working life. This is a self-pay offer. Please bring a large towel to the appointment.

11-11:45 a.m.: Online lecture "Intuitive nutrition - back to your gut feeling" (Techniker Krankenkasse)

Do you eat according to diets and plans? Your own body actually knows exactly what is good for it, but we have forgotten how to listen to it. As a result, many people do not feel comfortable in their bodies. Strict diets are often practiced to counteract this. Often
feelings of guilt are the result if you don't manage to stick to the strict rules. As a result, you quickly feel worse than before and often even put on weight. Are you familiar with intuitive eating? It's about deciding for yourself what and when you want to eat. Learn to listen to your own body again. The lecture will give you tips on how you can relearn intuitive eating and regain your own body awareness. The focus will be on the joy and pleasure of eating.

Pure relaxation on the "Fit@Campus" exercise trail. Get to know the BTU's exercise trail on the main campus in the fresh air and try out a variety of invigorating exercises before returning to your desk refreshed. Sports gear is not required for this short offer.

Body language? A smile is worth a thousand words - right? Power positions lift our mood and give us self-confidence and our facial expressions and gestures communicate information about how we feel and what is going on inside us. What's behind this and how can we use non-verbal communication for ourselves and our productivity?

14-14:45: Online lecture "Intuition - Listen to your gut feeling" (Techniker Krankenkasse)

Head vs. gut? In our hectic everyday lives, we are often caught up in a maelstrom of rational considerations and decision-making processes. In contrast, our intuition or gut feeling is a valuable resource that is easily forgotten in a world dominated by logic and reason. How can we rediscover the balance between reason and gut feeling? Learn to better understand your inner voice and use it to make well-founded decisions. Learn practical methods for strengthening your intuition in various areas of life.

14:30-15:25: Sports course "Abdominal, legs and bottom" (ZE University Sports)

Location: Sports hall main campus, gymnastics room


This course begins with a motivating warm-up to lively music. Afterwards, you will train your abdominal, leg and gluteal muscles in an intensive workout to improve your body tension and achieve a healthy posture. The class is rounded off with a targeted
stretching program for the previously stressed areas of the body.

15:30-16:25: "Fascia training" sports course (ZE University Sports)

Location: Sports hall main campus, gymnastics room


This course is designed to improve body awareness, increase flexibility and reduce tension in the muscles. The training starts with a light mobilization and stretching session for the whole body and then continues with fascia training using various tools. You will use fascia rollers, wooden sticks and fascia balls to improve the nutrient supply to the connective tissue, tendons and muscles through this self-massage.

Group meetings without a doctor or therapist - does it work? Is a self-help group also something for me? Does it cost anything to attend a group meeting? How do I set up a self-help group? Angelika Koal, coordinator of the REKIS Cottbus self-help contact point, will answer these and other questions.

Making mental health a playful experience: What exactly is mental health?
How can I fund my well-being? And how can I develop a positive mindset?
Participants move from station to station and receive answers to these questions in an interactive and practical way.

Unfortunately, the number on the scales is all too often seen as an indicator of physical health and fitness. But whether the scales are your best friend or your worst enemy, there are more meaningful ways to find out what's going on in your body. One of these is to determine your body composition
. With the body check, you can find out in just a few minutes what your body is made up of and what you can do if you want to change something about it.

11 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Lecture "Healthy through everyday working life with RV Fit" (German Pension Insurance)

RV Fit is the prevention program of the German Pension Insurance. Whether back pain,
slight overweight, stress or sleep problems: RV Fit helps you to stay healthy and fit.
RV Fit is a free training program with elements of exercise, nutrition and
stress management for a holistically improved attitude to life. Find out more in the lecture!

1-4 p.m.: Lecture "Severely disabled persons law in practice" (Prof. Dr. jur. Andreas Wien)

The lecture provides an overview of the rights of disabled persons, severely disabled persons or persons with equivalent rights and shows what must be taken into account in the recruitment, prevention, personnel development and dismissal of people with disabilities in accordance with the legal regulations.

3 - 3:45 p.m.: "Pilates" sports course (ZE University Sports)

Location: main campus sports hall, gymnastics room


Pilates strengthens and stabilizes the deep abdominal and back muscles in particular. This is a safe and effective way of preventing back problems. The training improves flexibility and sharpens your awareness of your own body. Originally developed by Joseph H. Pilates for healing purposes, Pilates appeals to those who want to take responsibility for their own body.

Take advantage of the unique preventive health offer of skin screening and have your skin assessed by a specialist for skin status, vascular changes in the skin, viral diseases, fungal diseases, inflammatory and stress-related skin diseases.

9-9:45 a.m.: Online lecture "Beating stress with mind and body" (Barmer)

In our daily lives, we encounter many challenging situations that demand a lot of stress from our minds and bodies. The workshop offers a variety of immediate tools to help with/against stress and negative emotions in order to achieve more mental strength through the right mindset and body movements.

10-11 a.m.: Online lecture "Rundum Kopfgesund " (Barmer)

The lecture gives a basic overview of the topic of headaches (primary headaches) and provides important basic knowledge on general and in particular workplace-related triggers and amplifiers of one of the most common forms of headaches in Germany, tension headaches.

10 am - 2 pm: Information stands of the health insurance companies: Discover your wellbeing options!

Take the opportunity to get in touch directly with the contact persons of various health insurance companies and get information about your health options in a relaxed and uncomplicated manner. Our health cooperation partners AOK Nordost, Barmer
and Techniker Krankenkasse will also be there.

11-11:15 a.m.: Online offer "Gymnastics at the workplace" (ZE Hochschulsport)

Quick, relaxing, effective: under guidance, you will learn short, simple exercises to help you stay physically and mentally fit at work.

11 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Lecture on "Lasting power of attorney" (Cottbus care authority)

Anyone who can no longer make decisions for themselves due to an accident or illness needs a legal representative. If you don't want to be legally supervised, but would rather decide for yourself who makes important decisions in the event of an emergency, you should draw up a power of attorney. Find out what you need to bear in mind and which new regulations will apply from 2024.

Tension often occurs in the back muscles, in particular in the shoulder/neck area. Unfavorable postures can lead to long-term overloading of the muscles and thus to increased muscle tension. Muscle tone measurement is used to detect this.

Would you like a refresher course on life-saving measures? Topics such as determining the level of consciousness, recovery position, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and choking are covered in this course.

In this lecture you will learn what relaxation is, what different relaxation techniques there are and how you can maintain your relaxation even in challenging situations.

In this lecture you will learn how you can activate your body and mind and what state you will be in afterwards. You will be taught simple exercises that you can do on your own at any time. Comfortable clothing is recommended.

11-12:30 a.m.: "Fit in first aid for seniors" (DRK Cottbus)

Refresh your knowledge on topics such as determining the level of consciousness, stable lateral position, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, handling a defibrillator, heart attack and stroke with symptoms and measures.

13-14:30: Lecture "How do I make my home fit for my old age" (Cottbus care support center)

When your heart and joints weaken or serious illnesses restrict your usual mobility and performance, you are forced to take a critical look at your living situation. Can you stay in your own four walls? What is necessary to remain independent in your familiar living environment for as long as possible? Who can provide support in this situation? What alternatives and forms of housing are there? Take the opportunity to find out

3.00 p.m. - 3.45 p.m.: "Spinal gymnastics" sports course (ZE University Sports)

The spine is the support of the human body. A lack of exercise, poor posture and unnatural movements are the most common causes of back pain. This special exercise strengthens the back muscles, stabilizes
the spine and improves posture.

9-12 am: Workshop "Letting go and finding new strength - a workshop with Kundalini Yoga and meditation" (Arielle Kohlschmidt)

Location: main campus, sports hall, gymnastics room


Most of our illnesses arise from many years of stress. To relax, all we really need to do is let go. But this is often so difficult! This is because we are controlled by stress hormones, in particular in everyday life. In this workshop, you will practise Kundalini yoga and meditation and learn effective techniques for getting out of stress. The secret of change is not to put all your energy into fighting the old, but into building the new.
