New study programmes at BTU - apply now!

Circa 70 future-oriented study programmes are available to interested young people at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU). Two new Bachelor's and six Master's degree programmes will be offered for the first time in the upcoming winter semester 2025/26, half of them in English.

Cottbus Open - a colourful mile of culture from all over the world

On Sunday, 22 June 2025, from 12 noon, Puschkinpark will be the meeting place for friends of the intercultural festival that BTU students from 15 countries have put together with Cottbus associations for the city festival. The colourful mix of Singing, dancing and culinary delights has long since become a tradition.

Railway stations - new meeting places, cultural centres or places of the future?

How can empty spaces become lively meeting places? Researchers from BTU are now tackling this question together with civil society, local authorities, culture, planning and students in the "AlterPerimentale" project. An excursion will take participants to the dilapidated railway station in Neupetershain on Tuesday, 10 June 2025.

Open BTU: Lecture evening "Why I won't give up hope"

The new thematic block "Democracy and hope in the crisis" of the Open BTU public lecture series will start on Wednesday, 28 May 2025, at 5:30 pm with renowned speakers - political scientist Prof. Dr Gesine Schwan and Prof. Dr Holger Zaborowski, holder of the Chair of Philosophy at the University of Erfurt.
