International projects

International projects are complex undertakings that take place across national borders and require teams from different cultures to work together. Intercultural competencies and the ability to communicate play a crucial role here. The projects can be a great opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and experience as well as for the development of new markets. However, legal and political framework conditions must also be taken into account.

The two DAAD-funded Fact Finding Mission (FFM) projects between the University of Sancti Spíritus (UNISS) and BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg in 2016 and 2017 served to initiate joint research and development projects. The Cuban delegation received a profound insight into the development possibilities of demand-oriented education and training offers. In 2017, a cooperation agreement was signed between the two universities.

In January 2019, a four-member delegation from Mozambique visited the BTU as part of the fact finding mission "Education and Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Development - Implementation of Renewable Energy Sources in Mozambique". The return visit of a BTU delegation to Maputo already took place in May. The meetings served to initiate a university cooperation with the Pedagogical University (PU) in Maputo.

The project was initiated by the Chair of Public Law, in particular Environmental and Planning Law, the Founders' Service and the Centre for Continuing Education.
