New Studienstiftung CERN Project Opens Doors to International Research Opportunities
The German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes) has launched a new project in cooperation with CERN, funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR). The initiative is aimed at students and doctoral researchers in computer science, engineering, and related technical fields, with the goal of introducing them early on to research and career opportunities at the world’s largest particle physics laboratory.
Planned activities include networking events, shadowing opportunities, summer academies, and information on internships, summer schools, doctoral programmes, and postdoctoral opportunities at CERN. For doctoral researchers, the Wolfgang Gentner Programme may be of particular interest, as it provides scholarship opportunities for doctoral research at CERN.
Further information on career paths and application opportunities at CERN is available via the Studienstiftung website, CERN Careers, and the German Community at CERN.
