Lusatia meets Lower Bavaria

A day full of insights, exchanges and future plans at Deggendorf Institute of Technology and its technology centres

Together with colleagues from the Transfer of Knowledge and Technology department at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, we were guests at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology on 28 November 2025.

The first stop was the Plattling campus - accompanied by Prof. Dr Markus Straßberger, Prof. Thomas Limbrunner and Prof. Dr Gabriel Herl. Many thanks for the informative tour and the insights into the development of this location with its key research area of modern mobility! We are happy to take away a few exciting points of reference for our research in Cottbus.

We were then warmly welcomed to DIT by President Prof. Waldemar Berg and Vice President Research and Transfer Prof. Dr Wolfgang Dorner. Thank you very much for the open and constructive dialogue!

The technology transfer centres are special

This was followed by intensive coordination on the campus concept together with Prof. Dr Wolfgang Dorner and the operational director Christian Schopf.

The dialogue showed once again how important strong partnerships and clear visions are for regional innovation structures. The technology transfer centres, which were created in cooperation with the districts and municipalities, made a particular impression.

Many thanks to everyone involved for their hospitality and valuable input!
