The world as a guest in Lusatia
Thanks to its transformation expertise and numerous profile-building collaborative projects, BTU is one of many important players in Lusatia that are actively shaping sustainable structural change.
The young diplomats will get to know two of these structural strengthening projects better during a reception at the IKMZ and a tour of the campus: After being welcomed by Michael Mannel, Officer for International Cooperation at BTU, Dr Markus Schwenke, Project Manager, presented the Lausitz Science Park (LSP) - a science and technology quarter that will be built on the Cottbus Nord airfield.
In the creative.open.lab (colab) - the BTU's central think tank - Susanne Peplowsky shows our guests the open workshop and how everything is possible under one roof, from the idea to prototype production to founding a company.
Young diplomats get to know their host country
The Diplomat*innenkolleg of the Federal Foreign Office is an innovative, extra-occupational dialogue and meeting platform and enables young diplomats accredited in Germany to get to know their host country and German politics in Europe and the world better as part of additional training. This also includes visiting several federal states and the choice fell on Brandenburg, which shows how structural change can succeed, especially in Lusatia. Before their stop at the BTU, our visitors visited the State Chancellery, the new railway works in Cottbus and Branitz Park.
