Resource- and energy-efficient designs

The 28th Brandenburg Civil Engineering Day on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg will shed light on what resource and climate neutrality in the construction industry can look like.

The Brandenburg Civil Engineering Day (BBIT) has a long tradition. Practitioners and researchers, company representatives and students meet here once a year to discuss the latest developments in the field of construction. This year, the focus is on interdisciplinarity and innovative approaches in planning, construction and operational processes. The officers will highlight challenges and solutions in the development of climate-neutral building materials and components. The question of the recyclability of materials and building products will also be addressed. New findings on how existing building fabric can be preserved for longer through sensible refurbishment and can therefore be used more sustainably will also be discussed. A look into the near future will provide insights into new approaches to lightweight, hybrid and adaptive construction in the building industry.
