About the chesco research factory
CO2 must be reduced in all areas of life in order to combat climate change. Mobility connects people, but is one of the main causes ofCO2 emissions. At BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, the Center for Hybrid Electric Systems Cottbus (chesco) is a unique research center for alternative drive technologies. In future, the fields of application for climate-friendly mobility will be extended beyond aviation to include the automotive, rail and shipping sectors. More than 30 chairs at BTU-Cottbus Senftenberg are involved in the project. With the aim of significantly shortening development cycles, the chesco research factory - unique in Germany and Europe - combines development, production and testing centrally at one location.
