Focus on future technologies: summer school on electricity and mobility

At the English-language summer school "Low Carbon Electricity and Mobility Concepts", organised by Prof. Harald Schwarz, Chair of Decentralized Energy Systems and Electrical Networks, students and young researchers will gain an in-depth insight into key future technologies of the energy and mobility transition.

The Summer School is based on the Bi-CCS research project funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK). The aim of the project is to develop a holistic, future-oriented bidirectional charging management system that ensures the interoperability of electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and
communication and network systems - tailored to the requirements of grid operation and the energy markets.

From 14 to 18 July 2025, participants can expect an exciting and varied programme: the content ranges from renewable power generation, grid operation and energy storage to the coupling of power grids with mobility and low-CO₂ vehicle drives. The seminar is recognised as a module for BTU students - over 80 registrations already prove the great interest!

In addition to lecturers from LS DEN, numerous other experts from the fields of Electrical Power Engineering, grid planning, electromobility and drive technologies are involved. In this way, future-relevant knowledge is imparted in a compact, practical and interdisciplinary manner.
