BTU opens its doors on Study Info Day in Senftenberg

What study programmes are available at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) - and which one is right for me? What is it like to attend a lecture? What is there to discover on campus? On Thursday, 15 January 2026, there will be answers to these and many other questions at the Senftenberg site between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Application deadlines for studying in the summer semester 2026

The portals are open for young people who would like to apply for a Master's programme at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) in particular. Applications for the Economathematics Bachelor's study programme are also possible for the summer semester.

Successful FIT@BTU network meeting

On 15 December 2025, the second network meeting on the integration of international students at BTU into the regional labour market took place. Under the title ‘Internationale Studierende in der Region halten’, 29 representatives from the university, the student body, the regional economy and institutions related to the labour market and integration came together.

COCO - a meeting and creative space introduces itself

As part of the BTU teaching project "COCO - Commoning Cottbus" at the Urban Management chair, a place is being created in Cottbus city centre that will serve as a meeting place for students, residents and interested parties.

Forensics lecture provides insights into the investigation of cold cases

On Friday, 19 December 2025 at 5:30 pm, participants in the public lecture series "Forensic Sciences: On the trail of the crime" at the Cottbus main campus of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg will follow the trail of past clues to previously unsolved criminal cases. The officer will be former Director of Criminal Investigation Karsten Bettels.
