Information for contributions for the BTU News

The university newspaper BTU News is published with a print run of 4,000 copies and is distributed throughout Cottbus and Senftenberg as well as at display points (e.g. libraries) in both cities. The BTU News is also sent by post to an extensive mailing list: ministries, university and cooperation partners from business, industry and scientific organisations.

The newspaper is divided into highlight topics (highlighted topics from various research fields) as well as the rubrics: Panorama (Campus, Research & Teaching, Business, Exhibitions & Drafts, School, City & Local Area, Sport), News and Names.

BTU News lives off the immense diversity of the university. For this, the editorial department uses reports which have been released as current announcements or press information. At the same time, scientists and academics as well as students and employees are also encouraged to submit interesting articles. These are edited and allocated to the suitable rubric or to the “News” section. Hereby please note the following for sending articles:

  • Unformatted Word texts with max. 3,500 characters (including spacing) for a full-page report; apt (conveys the report content well), professional photo of 300dpi (jpeg or eps) is required
  • News: length of 1,800 characters is sufficient
  • Please send photos as a separate file

If you have any questions, please contact: e-mail presse(at)b-tu.de. The editorial reserves the right to edit submitted texts as required and, if necessary, also shorten.
