This module provides the epistemological and methodological foundation for engaging in interdisciplinary heritage research. Students explore how cultural and heritage management, architectural history and conservation, transcultural studies, anthropology, and the sociology of technology and the environment generate and justify knowledge about heritage. Through comparative inquiry and case studies, they learn to assess disciplinary assumptions, apply diverse analytical tools, and develop evidence-based reasoning and communication skills for understanding and addressing heritage in theory and practice.
