Honorary Professorship for architectural mediation

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. phil. Eduard Führ

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. phil. Eduard Führ studied History of Art, Sociology and Philosophy. He completed his doctoral studies with Max Imdahl in Bochum. He received his habilitation at the University of Hanover. Eduard Führ held the Chair of "Theory of Architecture" at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus (BTU) until his retirement in 2010. Here he set up the "Architecture Mediation" study programme. Since 1996, he has published "Wolkenkuckucksheim | Cloud-Cuckoo-Land | Воздушный замок", an online journal on the theory of Architecture; since then, he has also been one of the editors. In 2020, he was appointed honorary professor for architectural mediation by the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. He still works as a consultant on construction and planning projects; he was a member of the City of Bielefeld's "Advisory Board for Urban Design" until 2020 and founded "I-KON", a think tank for urban development in Bielefeld, in 2019.
