Pathways to high-level publications

Highly ranked journals for primary scientific literature reject the vast majority of manuscripts, and not every author understands what exactly happens to a manuscript after it is submitted.

The lecture by Dr. Christoph Schmitt (Chief Editor Nature Metabolism) offers an insight into the work of editors of the journals of the Nature portfolio and their role in the publication process. As an example, the path of an article from submission to peer review to publication will be traced. Dr. Schmitt will take a closer look at the decision-making process and also give one or two tips on how to increase the chances of success in publishing.
