Michelle Heese MSc.
Since 2015, Michelle Heese is an interdisciplinary research assistant and project coordinator for various international and intercultural DAAD funded projects at the Department of Environmental Planning at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.
After her bachelor's degree in cultural studies and the European University Viadrina, in Frankfurt Oder, she was a student in the international master's degree World Heritage Studies at BTU, where she was also a student member of the WHS examination board between the years 2013 and 2014.
In addition to her administrative and project coordination work at the university, she is responsible for the acquisition and application of third party funded projects and their overall management. Her empirical research interest focuses on empirical identity studies (with the focus on regional identities), cultural landscapes, as well as on (world) cultural and natural heritage and the identification, protection and management of these heritage sites.
