Alumni party in Senftenberg: The graduates are our network to the economy

On Saturday, June 11, 2022, the study programs Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering & Industrial Engineering invite their graduates to an alumni meeting on the Senftenberg campus starting at 4 pm. So far, 150 former students have registered for this event.

Already at the beginning of this year, a small "celebration committee" formed and contacted former students via a social media platform with the invitation for the planned event. Within a week, numerous graduates were found via this platform and the news spread like wildfire.

Now the alumni reunion is imminent and 150 graduates have already registered - the interest in the event is great. The focus is on exchange, many conversations and personal contacts.

"The constant contact with our graduates is important to us. They are our network to the business world, because someone who was a student in our degree programs years ago may already be a managing director today, planning or leading research and development projects in companies or looking for new employees - this network is an opportunity for all of us. We are very much looking forward to the personal reunion after the long situation-related break and the exchange in many conversations. And a coincidence - the Senftenberg campus celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2022 - a long, successful history with many graduates, but also with changes and developments," reports Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kathrin Lehmann, Vice Dean of Faculty 3 - Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Energy Systems at the Senftenberg site.
