40 trainers and lecturers from China visit BTU

The delegation visited the Faculty Environment and Natural Sciences at the main campus in Cottbus on March 7, 2024. The focus of interest was on the Environmental Engineering study programme and the departments of the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Environmental Engineering.

The guests came to Germany at the invitation of TÜV Rheinland as part of an educational project for Chinese trainers and lecturers. In their home country, they work as lecturers in the fields of environmental engineering and Hydraulic Engineering at various universities of applied sciences.

At BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, they will find out more about the environmental engineering study programme, among other things. In addition, STEM ambassador Dr. Ramona Riedel will present the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Environmental Engineering as well as specific measures to promote STEM at the university. The delegation's visit also includes guided tours of the laboratories of the Chair of Biotechnology of Water Treatment and the Chair of Circular Economy.

The three-week training program covers both technical topics and technical-didactic approaches that are essential for teaching learning content. The stations include Leipzig, Dresden, Cottbus and Berlin universities.
