Participation in the international research programme in Valenciennes

In March 2026, the department will be represented by doctoral student Jonas Betz at the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) ‘Discovering Research in a European Context’ in France.

Coordinated by the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France, the Programm is dedicated to teaching advanced research methodologies and promoting international cooperation within the EUNICE alliance. A virtual preparation phase (9–13 March 2026) will be followed by a week of in-person sessions in Valenciennes (16–20 March 2026), which will focus on methodological tools, European funding structures and networking with partner universities such as the University of Mons. The aim of participation is to further network the field within the international research community and to exchange expertise on current methodological developments.
