Design Guidelines for the Lausitz Science Park: Thinking Ahead Together

Working together to shape the Lausitz Science Park

Another important step in the development of the Lausitz Science Park: as part of the first semi-public consultation on the design guidelines, representatives from institutes and public authorities, as well as local residents, came together to discuss initial approaches and contribute their perspectives to the ongoing planning process.

The event was organised by Daab Nordheim Reutler in collaboration with the City of Cottbus/Chóśebuz and coordinated by the Lausitz Science Park team.

The design guidelines are intended to create a common framework for the future spatial and design development of the Lausitz Science Park. The aim is to bring together the various requirements for the site at an early stage and to lay the foundations for its further development.

From Architecture and open spaces to mobility

The consultation focused on various themes and requirements for the future science and innovation hub. Topics discussed included urban planning and architectural issues, the design of open spaces and public areas, as well as aspects of mobility and access.

The requirements of future users also played an important role. Their diverse perspectives are intended to help develop a site that offers favourable conditions for research, innovation, collaboration and exchange.

Suggestions will be incorporated into the next phase of the project

The consultation provided a forum for open exchange, specific suggestions and diverse perspectives on the future development of the site. The numerous suggestions and comments will now be evaluated and incorporated into the further development of the design guidelines.

The consultation process will continue. The aim is to jointly develop the Lausitz Science Park into an innovative, sustainable and well-connected hub for science and innovation.
