“Well Prepared” – Career Planning for International Doctoral Researchers

“Well Prepared” is a new initiative by the Welcome Centre for International Researchers at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, designed to empower international PhD candidates in shaping their future careers. The project offers targeted networking events, expert talks, workshops, and individual coaching to support career development at an early stage.
A central component is the Career Roadmap, a practical tool guiding researchers step by step through key stages of career planning. The project also promotes the use of the Individual Development Plan (IDP) to support personalized career strategies.

Running from January 2026 to December 2028, “Well Prepared” is funded by the European Union and the State of Brandenburg.
