The accreditation of the study programs Materials Chemistry (Bachelor, Master) was extended by the accreditation institute ACQUIN e.V. until September 30, 2024. The report on the accreditation emphasizes that the research foci of a small chemistry department are cleverly exploited to offer a well-structured and well studyable study program with an original content profile.

“Materials for Future - from molecules to materials" - under this theme the first "MINT-EC-Camp" proceeded in the field of chemistry for students from all over Germany. The camp also started with another innovation: it was the first digital meeting of the MINT-EC series. The online event was organized by the Institute of Materials Chemistry and the BTU College. Eighteen students from twelfth and thirteenth grades participated in the study program with lectures, exercises and group work. Two students from a German school in Istanbul were even enthusiastic about the chemistry camp beyond Germany's borders.
