Welcome to Cottbus: How ideas take shape at KLĔB A SOL

From initial concept to initial implementation: at the Cottbus Welcome Festival, the Innovators Club demonstrated how ideas can be turned into tangible results in just five minutes – and why innovation in Cottbus begins where visions take shape.

Cottbus is vibrant, dynamic and open to new ideas – and it was precisely this spirit that was at the heart of Cottbus’s welcome festival, KLĔB A SOL. Named after the Sorbian tradition of welcoming new neighbours with ‘bread and salt’, the event brought together newcomers, returnees and locals to fund connections and a sense of belonging.

Right at the heart of the festival, the Innovators Club presented its “Dream Machine” – a format that demonstrates how ideas can be turned into tangible results in no time at all.

From idea to landing page in five minutes

The concept was as simple as it was impressive: visitors could present their business ideas, projects or visions directly to an AI. Within just five minutes, this resulted in a fully functional landing page – the first visible step from an idea towards a concrete project.

This made innovation an immediate experience: accessible, creative and practical. Participants went home not only with new inspiration, but also with a first tangible result.

Enthusiasm for new approaches to innovation

The concept also made a particular impression on Cottbus’s Lord Mayor, Tobias Schick. His conclusion: “Young people talk a lot about success, but find it hard to get started. This is exactly where we want to start. This belongs in every school!”

His assessment sums up what the Innovators Club is all about: making innovation more accessible and helping people take their first steps towards putting their own ideas into practice.

The crucial moment between idea and implementation

A key insight from the festival: the greatest added value often arises precisely in the gap between an initial idea and the first visible result. This is where the Innovators Club comes in – by making visions visible, understandable and tangible in the shortest possible time.

KLĔB A SOL has shown that Cottbus is not just a place to settle in, but also a place where new ideas can flourish. The Innovators Club turns visions into reality – and transforms curiosity into the courage to simply get started.
