Lausitz Science Park at Bildung 2.0: Science and new career prospects

At the “Bildung 2.0” event at the Blechen Carré in Cottbus, the Lausitz Science Park engaged with visitors. The future science-related jobs available at the site, in particular, attracted a great deal of interest.

Education and future prospects in the heart of Cottbus

On 17 September 2026, the Lausitz Science Park was represented at the ‘Education 2.0’ event at the Blechen Carré in Cottbus. The event brought together various stakeholders from the fields of education, further learning and career guidance, and offered visitors the opportunity to find out about new educational opportunities and future prospects in the region.

Digital tools, VR applications, innovative educational programmes and personalised advice brought to life a range of opportunities for learning and professional development. At the same time, the event provided a space for personal discussions and direct dialogue with regional stakeholders.

Science jobs at the Lausitz Science Park attract interest

The Lausitz Science Park was also on hand to provide information about the development of the future science and innovation hub in Cottbus. In numerous discussions, there was interest in particular in the career prospects that will arise from the development of the Science Park in the coming years.

By attracting research and science institutions as well as innovative companies, the Lausitz Science Park aims to create new opportunities for skilled employment in the region. This will open up prospects not only for scientists, but also for skilled workers from a variety of sectors.

The discussions at “Bildung 2.0” highlighted just how important it is to raise awareness of these future opportunities at an early stage and to engage in dialogue with people in the region about them.

Many thanks to the organisers, all the partners involved and the visitors for the interesting discussions and open dialogue.
