Guest Lectureon "Energy Justice and Extractivism" as part of the "Just Energy Transition" Seminar
You are warmly invited to join us for a special session on "Energy Justice and Extractivism", where we'll explore current climate activism struggles and the broader implications of extractivist policies.
The first part of the session features the climate activist Lakshmi Thevasagayam sharing insights into frontline resistance against fossil fuel projects in Germany-focusing on the fight to save Lützerath from coal mining and opposition to LNG infrastructure on the island of Rügen.
Following this, Sara Bahadoori will give a talk and host a Q&A on the intersections of racism, colonialism, and climate justice, with a critical look at the German climate movement and its blind spots.
