Events with a sustainability focus

At the BTU, there are lecture series for the public in various formats: The Children's University with lectures for children in grades 3-6, the Pupils' University and the Science Academy for pupils in grades 7-13, the Open BTU lecture series and the Senior Citizens' Academy. There are also always topics related to sustainability, such as climate change and the future of bees.

The topic of socio-ecological transformation as a way out of the multiple crises of our time is on everyone's lips. The BTU Cottbus sees itself as a companion and co-designer of transformative processes in the region. "Utopia Cultural Education" asks about the potential of aesthetic and utopian practice in transformation processes in Lusatia: How can cultural education, art and culture support bottom-up processes in the transformation region? What role do utopias from the arts, digital pioneers and cultural education events with art and media play here?
