At the end of 2019, the BTU's vehicle fleet became more environmentally friendly with four new electric vehicles: since then, the mail has been delivered electrically, thus replacing the old post office vehicle. The other three vehicles can be used as self-driving vehicles by staff for journeys between the sites.

Solar-powered bicycle pump station

A project that emerged from the FabLab Cottbus e.V. is the solar-powered bicycle pumping station on the BTU campus. In addition to its actual purpose, the bicycle pumping station is intended to be a public symbol for cycling and decentralised energy supply by equipping it with a solar panel, battery and intelligent charging control. You will find it in front of the FabLab location in the garage complex - opposite the interim cafeteria.
