Scholarships and travel grants for female* BTU scientists

Financial support for BTU female* scientists in qualification phases through scholarships and travel grants from the Equal Opportunities Office | Application deadline May 31, 2023

Female* BTU scientists in qualification phases can apply until May 31, 2023 for funding by the Equal Opportunities Office within the framework of individual funding scholarships, graduation or bridging scholarships. Applications for travel grants are accepted until October 31, 2023.

Final and Bridging Scholarships
Within the framework of the Female Professors Program III, female* BTU scientists are funded who are about to complete their doctorate or habilitation (final scholarship) or who need a financial bridge for a period of time until other funding measures begin (bridging scholarship). A final scholarship to support a doctorate is funded at 1,500 EUR/month, one to complete a habilitation at 1,800 EUR/month, and a bridging scholarship at 1,100 EUR/month. The fellowships can each be funded for up to a maximum of 6 months. Funding is subject to available funds. Further information and application documents.

Individual Support Scholarships
Female* BTU scientists from the Master's program onwards can apply for an Individual Support Scholarship. The scholarships serve to bridge difficult qualification and life phases, to support and individually promote female students from the Master's degree onwards in social and financial need. The scholarships are awarded at 800 EUR for students and 1,100 EUR for doctoral candidates with an individual funding period. Travel grants
A travel grant from the Equal Opportunities Office can be used to support the active participation of female* BTU scientists in qualification phases at international conferences. Participation should be coupled with an own conference contribution (e.g. with an own lecture or poster presentation). A maximum of 1,000 euros per applicant can be granted annually. Applications can be submitted throughout the year; the latest submission date for your complete application documents is October 31, 2023. Applications can be submitted retroactively to January 1, 2023. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis and approval is subject to available funding.
