Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

Description

The course combines professional training as a model for academic training, thereby strengthening scientific competence in the nursing profession and improving the quality and methods of professional practice. The programme qualifies graduates to apply scientific methods for the development of practical solutions to problems, also taking non-academic professional references into account. The academic nurses can take on highly complex care processes and leadership responsibility. The full-time study programme with combined vocational training offers the opportunity to obtain a first third–level qualification at the same time as obtaining a professional qualification.Students who are also trainees carry out practical training with cooperating partners alongside their studies. This consists of 2,500 hours. 700 hundred of these are part of the bachelor’s studies. The study programme ends with a bachelor of science after eight semesters. The professional training ends at the same time with the state examination (professional examination), which is integrated into modular examinations.
