Faculty 4 of BTU Cottbus–Senftenberg Elects New Dean’s Office

On 29 April 2026, Faculty 4 for Human Sciences at BTU Cottbus–Senftenberg elected a new faculty leadership team. Prof. Dr. jur. habil. Jens M. Schubert was elected Dean. The newly elected Vice Deans are Prof. Dr. phil. Juliane Noack Napoles, responsible for Academic Affairs and Teaching, and Prof. Dr. Heidrun Herzberg, responsible for Research.

Successful FIT@BTU network meeting

On 15 December 2025, the second network meeting on the integration of international students at BTU into the regional labour market took place. Under the title ‘Internationale Studierende in der Region halten’, 29 representatives from the university, the student body, the regional economy and institutions related to the labour market and integration came together.

BTU receives a Centre for Structural Change and Regional Development

The Centre for Structural Change and Regional Development (ZeStuR) at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU), which is funded by the federal government with 16 million euros from the Structural Strengthening Act, will begin its work in November 2025.
