Our EIZ SPARK Academy, a six-week training programme that supports scientists in turning their research ideas into successful business models, has been successfully launched.

EIZ SPARK Inspire is entering the next round: The event is aimed at researchers and students and is fully in line with a start-up-oriented mindset – because we are convinced that spin-offs from science are an elementary component of a stable research ecosystem!

The iCampus at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is inviting industry partners to its 5G Day on 22 January 2025. The BTU's self-sufficient 5G network has been in operation since spring 2024. It can be used free of charge by regional companies. The focus will be on the advantages and opportunities this offers for commercial enterprises.

Innovative, sustainable projects and ideas from industry and research are being sought and honoured under the motto "Shaping.a.sustainable.future". The closing date for applications is 28 March 2025.

On November 12, 2024, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg welcomed its new DAAD scholarship students. These scholars from 23 countries, engaged in a wide range of fields, enrich university life and contribute to the cultural diversity of the university.

At the finale of STAR*PARADE, the major startup competition in Lusatia, three of the ten best pitches were won by BTU alumni.

The BTU project Startup Community records all start-up activities at the university and once again awards a Startup Bonus.

With a diverse audience of over 400 guests, the final of the Lusatian start-up competition took place at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg on September 19, 2024. In addition to the selection of the ten best pitches, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the Startup Lausitz start-up ecosystem was signed.
