On Friday, 19 December 2025 at 5:30 pm, participants in the public lecture series "Forensic Sciences: On the trail of the crime" at the Cottbus main campus of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg will follow the trail of past clues to previously unsolved criminal cases. The officer will be former Director of Criminal Investigation Karsten Bettels.

On 11 December 2025, students from the BTU campuses in Cottbus and Senftenberg and pupils from the Georg Heinsius von Mayenburg School in the Senftenberg district of Brieske once again faced the question of which of their self-constructed bridges is particularly strong and light.

"How flying robots measure our world" - this is the topic of the last children's university lecture of 2025 at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) on 10 and 11 December.

On Tuesday, 9 December 2025, from 5 pm, the film screening "Die Architekten" (GDR, 1990), the reading of the novel "Die Allee" (Galiani Verlag, 2025) and a discussion with director Peter Kahane and author Florentine Anders will take place at Cottbuser Weltspiegel.
