The cities of Cottbus and Senftenberg offer a comprehensive overview of daycare centres, after-school care centres and childminders on their respective websites, including information on childcare services, opening hours and registration procedures. In addition, both websites provide all relevant information on public schools, including details on enrolment procedures and the various educational institutions in each town.
Families can also access support from grandparents or experienced people from the region via the volunteer agency in Cottbus. Volunteers can be found here to help with childcare or everyday tasks. The Dual Career Service is based on the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg dual career guidelines and the best practice guidelines of the Dual Career Network Germany, of which BTU is an active member.
What guidelines does the Dual Career Service at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg follow?
To contact us for the first time, please send an e-mail to dual-career(at)b-tu.de, briefly describe your concerns and enclose the completed contact form. We will be happy to arrange an appointment for an interview - online, by telephone or in person on site. Based on the documents you send us and your individual goals, we will prepare the initial meeting by discussing the next steps together.
If you would like support with your job search, please also send us your short profile and CV. Your short profile should include a brief overview of your education, skills, core competences, your career goal, the earliest possible starting date and details of the distance between your home and potential place of work.
We would like you to work actively with us by informing us of your concerns at an early stage, providing all relevant documents in full and clearly communicating your goals and expectations. Open and trusting communication is the key to providing you with the best possible support and finding customised solutions.
The Dual Career Service will usually support you until you have successfully integrated into the labour market, but for a maximum of 18 months.
If you do not require any further support or have found a suitable position, the counselling will be concluded by mutual agreement.
