Curriculum Vitae
Markus Gardill is a professor and head of the Department of Electronic Systems and Sensor Technology at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. After completing his studies and doctorate at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, he worked in science and industry, including at Robert Bosch GmbH and InnoSenT GmbH, where he helped develop modern radar systems for automated driving. Further professorships took him to the University of Würzburg. His research focuses on the design of high-frequency systems and associated signal processing, in particular for multi-antenna systems and applications in radar and communication technology. In 2024, he was awarded the IEEE MTT-S Outstanding Young Engineer Award for his scientific achievements.
