Curriculum Vitae
Prof. Weiß has been a professor in the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg since October 2012. Since 2015, she has also been managing director of Panta Rhei gGmbH, Cottbus, an interdisciplinary research centre for lightweight materials at BTU, and since 2024, she has been a member of the board of the Study Day Materials Science and Materials Engineering. She habilitated in 2007 in the field of materials engineering at the University of Duisburg-Essen. She obtained her doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) in 1997 at the Institute for Metallurgy and Metal Physics at RWTH Aachen University, where she also completed her degree in metallurgy.
