An exciting lecture by forensic expert Prof. Dr Wolfgang Spyra is on the programme of the public series "Forensic Sciences: Tracking down the crime" on Friday, 21 November 2025 at 5:30 pm at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU).

A (pictorial) journey into the past, present and future of the GeoFlow and AtmoFlow experiments is on the programme of the Open BTU series at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at 5:30 pm. The officer will be Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christoph Egbers, holder of the Chair of Aerodynamics and Fluid Mechanics.

After an introductory greeting from BTU President Prof. Dr Gesine Grande, participants in the Open BTU public lecture series on Wednesday, 5 November 2025 at 5:30 p.m. will embark on a journey into the future of aviation with Prof. Dr Lars Enghardt, Chair of Electrified Aero Engines, and Stefan Richter, Head of DLR_School_Lab BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.

The public lecture series "Forensic Sciences: On the trail of the crime" at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) will continue on Friday, 10 October 2025 at 5:30 pm. The officer will be Robert Trafford from the Department of Forensic Architecture at Goldsmiths, University of London.

New course: Using Word for academic writing (also in English)

To conclude the Open BTU public lecture series in the current summer semester, the film Purpose will be shown on Wednesday, 2 July 2025 at 5:30 pm and discussed with the director and actors from civil society and academia.

Experience an inspiring afternoon with Dr Johannes Staemmler, who will read from his book and provide exciting insights into visions for the future and structural change in Lusatia.

The new thematic block "Democracy and hope in the crisis" of the Open BTU public lecture series will start on Wednesday, 28 May 2025, at 5:30 pm with renowned speakers - political scientist Prof. Dr Gesine Schwan and Prof. Dr Holger Zaborowski, holder of the Chair of Philosophy at the University of Erfurt.

The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is once again taking part in Cottbus Environment Week as part of its Open BTU public lecture series on Wednesday, 21 May 2025 at 5:30 pm. The speakers will be Prof. Dr Klaus Birkhofer, head of the Chair of Ecology at the university, and Sven Hoffmann, board chairperson of the Cottbus Beekeepers' Association.
