Neuer HEP für die BTU / New HEP for the BTU
Im Dezember 2025 wurde er vom akademischen Senat beschlossen und dem brandenburgischen Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kultur (MWFK) übergeben. Damit ist der neue Hochschulentwicklungsplan (HEP) für die Jahre 2026-2030 als strategische Grundlage gesetzt. Der neue HEP reflektiert Erreichtes und setzt neue Ziele. Auf 91 Seiten werden die Entwicklungen aus den Jahren 2021-2025 umfangreich analysiert und basierend darauf zukünftige Handlungsfelder skizziert und mit konkreten Zielen und Maßnahmen hinterlegt.
Das Strategiepapier ist Ergebnis einer intensiven, mehr als einjährigen Zusammenarbeit von Hochschulleitung, Hochschulgremien und Angehörigen der Universität, unter anderem beim Zukunftsworkshop Mitte Juni 2025 , an dem sich etwa 150 Studierende und Mitarbeitende aller Standorte und Statusgruppen beteiligten.
BTU-Präsidentin Prof. Gesine Grande: „Wir haben in den letzten Jahren mit allergrößtem Einsatz, mit Begeisterung und klugen Veränderungen aus unserer BTU eine Universität gemacht, die mit steigenden Bewerber- und Studierendenzahlen, mit zukunftsorientierten Forschungsprojekten und starken Partnerschaften und einer immer größeren Sichtbarkeit punktet. In den nächsten Jahren werden wir diese rasante Entwicklung fortsetzen und verstetigen. Wir wollen die BTU und den Wissenschaftsstandort Lausitz zum Strahlen bringen.“

In December 2025, it was approved by the Academic Senate and submitted to the Brandenburg Ministry of Science, Research, and Culture (MWFK). This establishes the new University Development Plan (HEP) for the years 2026-2030 as a strategic foundation. The publication is now available in digital or print format.
The new HEP reflects on achievements and sets new goals. Its 91 pages provide a comprehensive analysis of developments from 2021 to 2025 and, based on this, outline future areas of action and back them up with concrete goals and measures.
The strategy paper is the result of more than a year of intensive collaboration between university management, university committees, and members of the university, including the Future Workshop in mid-June 2025, in which around 150 students and employees from all locations and status groups participated.
BTU President Prof. Gesine Grande: "In recent years, with the utmost commitment, enthusiasm, and intelligent changes, we have turned our BTU into a university that scores highly with rising applicant and student numbers, future-oriented research projects, strong partnerships, and ever-increasing visibility. In the coming years, we will continue and consolidate this rapid development. We want to make the BTU and Lusatia shine as a center of science."
