Do good and talk about it

Lausitz Science Park presents itself at the 3rd LAUSITZFORUM 2038 with a large BTU joint stand.

On 6 November 2024, the Lusatia Science Park took part in the 3rd LAUSITZFORUM 2038 at BASF's Kulturhaus in Schwarzheide. The forum brings together stakeholders from business, science, politics and culture to jointly shape and drive forward structural change in the Lusatia region.

Review and outlook

During the first two Lusatia Forums in recent years, we discussed together what steps are needed to initiate the transformation in the Lusatia coal region. This year's forum focussed on the next phase: the NET-Zero Valley model project - a vision that points the way to a climate-neutral region by 2038.

Exchange and inspiration

During the breaks between the panel discussions and specialist presentations, participants took the opportunity to exchange ideas and explore the diverse project stands in the foyer. At the joint stand of the Lausitz Science Park and the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, we presented ourselves together with innovative projects such as iCampus Cottbus, the Energy Innovation Centre Cottbus (EIZ) and the Center for Hybrid Electric Systems Cottbus (chesco).

The aim of the Lusatia Forum

The forum offers a platform to reflect on the structural change in Lusatia and to make forward-looking decisions in the area of conflict between energy supply, climate protection, economic efficiency and security of supply. Under the motto "Do good and talk about it", the Lusatia Forum 2038 was once again a showcase for the successful implementation of structural change projects that will lead the region into a new, sustainable era.

Together we are shaping the future of Lusatia!
