BTU project for study orientation can be university pearl of the year - our SMS voting on January 19/20 decides!

Everyone who wants to participate has the opportunity to support the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg and its project "btu360grad.online" on the way to the university pearl 2021 with their vote. Voting takes place exclusively via SMS. Only one vote can be cast per mobile phone number. A vote cast before the voting deadline, i.e. before January 19, 12 noon, is invalid. It also prevents a valid vote from being cast from the same mobile number within the voting period.

With the interactive tool for study orientation, young people can get to know study programs at the BTU and places in Lusatia in an unusual way at www.btu360grad.online.

In collaboration with young people, a 360-degree environment has been created in which users can virtually familiarize themselves with laboratory and teaching buildings, get to know scientists, students and alumni, modern research facilities and projects in video sequences - especially from the field of mechanical engineering. A great advantage for prospective students: The actors not only present their current environment and their exciting fields of activity. They also present their personal career paths and career opportunities after graduation. In addition to potential employers, visitors will also meet alumni at their workplaces.

Background:

After the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft (Donors' Association for the Promotion of Sciences and Humanities in Germany) awarded the project "btu360grad.online" of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg with the university pearl "Transitions in Times of Pandemic" of the month July 2021, this now has chances to become university pearl of the year 2021. University pear ls are innovative, exemplary projects that are implemented in a university. Every month, the Stifterverband presents a university pearl. Once a year, the university pearl of the year is selected from the monthly pearls by voting. The interactive campus tour "btu360grad.online" was developed as part of the project "Profile-based Knowledge Checks 2.0" - funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg with resources from the European Social Fund.
