FISU World University Games

The FISU World University Games will take place from 16 to 27 July 2025. Organised by the Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU), the games are considered the most important international multi-sport event for students and combine top sporting performance with intercultural exchange. Athletes from all over the world compete in 15 disciplines. BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg will be represented by Arthur Beimler, a Master's student specialising in Mechanical Engineering. He will represent Germany
in the half marathon on 26 July. The start over the 21.0975-kilometre course is not only a sporting challenge, but also a great honour - after all, the nomination for the FISU Games alone is proof of exceptional talent and commitment. Artur Beimler demonstrated his sporting prowess back in May 2025. At the German University Championships of the General German University Sports Association , the BTU Master's student took a remarkable 3rd place in the 1500 metres.
