Discovering the human voice at BTU's pupils university
Interested parties from grades seven to ten are invited to the large lecture theatre of the Konrad Zuse Media Centre (room 11.122) of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU), Universitätsplatz 1 in 01968 Senftenberg. Registration is not required.
The officer is Johannes Kaufhold, a qualified vocal pedagogue and church musician from the Institute of Instrumental and Vocal Performance and Teaching at BTU, who also teaches at the Berlin University of the Arts and the University of Potsdam.
The aim of this pupils university event is to show why our voice sounds so distinctive and what unexpected possibilities it offers. With numerous practical elements, the aim is to take a completely new look at what we often use every day without thinking: our voice.
The BTU's pupils university offers interested pupils the opportunity to understand scientific and technical topics and is intended to awaken a desire for discovery and research. This gives them the chance to develop their own skills and expand their talents. Together with Sparkasse Niederlausitz, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg is offering an attractive new programme in which interested students can work on various projects in small teams and consolidate their knowledge on excursions.
Outlook:
A lecture on the topic of "Discovering the human voice" is also on the programme of the pupils university in Cottbus. Those interested are invited to attend on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in the Central Lecture Hall Building (ZHG), Audimax 2, on the main campus of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, Konrad-Wachsmann-Allee 3 in 03046 Cottbus.
