Making companies fit for the future: Innovation management training series gets underway

Innovation stands for renewal. From April 18 to July 4, 2023, the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) will be offering a part-time continuing education program that will provide interested parties, and especially entrepreneurs, with insights into the facets of innovation management.

In six entertaining learning bites, whose time frame of one hour takes into account the requirements of entrepreneurs, the participants deal with innovation culture and its importance as a value driver and competitive factor. This unique offering was developed by the Department of Technology and Innovation and the BTU's Center for Continuing Education. The continuing education series takes place both face-to-face and online/hybrid in creative learning spaces at BTU.

"We want to teach how to track down and develop ideas on the fly," explains Beatrix Krautz, head of the university's Technology and Innovation Unit. "How do I put together a suitable team? What are the next steps? How do I finance the idea? These and other questions are the focus. Sustainability and digitalization are changing the framework conditions and creating new opportunities, and the traditional is being questioned. We offer the opportunity to deal with this and to make companies sustainably fit for the future with new or long-planned ideas, and provide them with the necessary methodological tools."

Participants are trained in key aspects of innovation management, such as initiating innovation projects, generating innovative ideas, selecting and evaluating them, and planning and implementing innovation projects. With a clear practical orientation, they acquire competencies to establish a positive innovation culture in their companies or institutions. The BTU's learning platform offers additional space for exchange, creative and collaborative work, and networked learning.

Up-to-date, precise and entertaining, everything important about the individual topics will be brought to the point on the following dates:
