The dynamic processes taking place on the oil/water interface are monitored by means of ellipsometry. This analysis method is primarily used in material research and surface science in order to e.g. measure the thickness of thin films. Due to the vast number of individual processes occuring simultaneously at the interface the complex system is experimentally split into subsystems which can now be investigated and modelled independently from each other. It is the main objective of this research to obtain a kinetic model which is able to represent the interactions in good agreement with the experiments.
