History

In April 2022, with the appointment of Prof. Dr habil. Christian Abendroth, the new Department of Circular Economy was created. The Department of Circular Economy was created based on the former Departments of Waste Management and Processing. These were headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. G. Busch and Prof. Dr. P. Ay. Some laboratories and workshops will continue to be maintained in the Department of Circular Economy. In particular, the research focus on biogas is being continued. Even though the dissolution of the former departments means that important sources of experience are no longer available, an attempt will be made here to list the important achievements of the former departments. This concerns former staff members, patents, projects, and publications.
