Lunatec
Our chair has a cooperation with the company Lunatec from Frankfurt (Main). Lunatec advises companies on digital business processes and would like to improve these together with its customers. Information about Lunatec can be found on the homepage.
As part of the cooperation, we offer a limited number of theses supervised together with Lunatec. There is a wide range of topics to choose from, but we would like to present a small selection here with a focus on automation and artificial intelligence (AI):
- Trust in AI: What increases trust in artificial intelligence technology, i.e. when do we rely on it and when is trust justified? (Focus: Bachelor and Master)
- Expectation management of AI: What are the expectations of AI and how do these expectations influence change management? (Focus: Bachelor and Master)
- Case study “Human in the loop”: AI means learning and adapting on both the AI and the user side. How can the interaction be meaningfully structured, especially in the context of controlling the AI? What criteria are necessary for the best possible collaboration between humans and AI? (Focus: Master's degree)
- AI enablement: Which employees are suitable for working with AI? How do I find these employees? What role do citizen developers play in this and is this concept useful for AI? (Focus: Bachelor's and Master's degree)
- AI Operating Models: What roles are there for AI in companies? How are business processes prepared for AI use? In which cases is AI used? When is learning done and when and how is validation done? (Focus: Bachelor and Master)
- Market analysis for AI services (possibly combined with a simulation study on AI platforms): Which providers are there with which offers for which applications? (Focus: Bachelor or Master)
- AI control of experiments: Testing is part of everyday business. How can tests be planned intelligently?
Of course, there is always the possibility of cooperating on current specific applications or other topics, for example, predicting failure-prone phases in telecommunications, image recognition regarding comments / signatures on documents, email classification, chatbot training, deriving trends from social media. If you would like to write a thesis on one of these topics, please apply to Ms. Julia Kirst for a place under her supervision, including a transcript of grades and a short motivation. After an initial selection, the specific theses will then be developed together with Lunatec.
