Successful Completion of Annual evaluation of GRS Doctoral Scholarship Fellows
As part of the quality assurance concept, GRS conducts an annual evaluation of the doctoral students it supports with scholarships. This evaluation takes place every autumn and is critically monitored by the Commission for Research, Young Researchers, and Technology Transfer (Research Commission). As part of the evaluation, supervisors are asked to submit a report along with a work plan until the submission of the dissertation. The Research Commission reviews these reports and recommends the Vice President for Research and Transfer the renewal of the funding. Currently, the GRS supports candidates from fields such as medical technology, environmental sciences, heritage studies, and lightweight design.
In all cases, the renewal of the funding was recommended without conditions. The procedure, which includes statements from the supervisors, has proven particularly effective in supporting quality assurance by providing a concise overview of the progress of each scholarship holder's work.
